The last few weeks have been spent mainly running the new artisan collective, UnchARTed on Beaufort St Mt Lawley. It’s great to finally have a permanent place to exhibit my work and share space with many other Perth creatives. I was unsuccessful in my first public mural submission (not surprisingly as there are many other […]
Monday and Tuesday I painted a roo with my original abstract design at Central Park in the city. The fun KangaART project will see the completed 20 life-size fibreglass kangaroo statues (painted by different artists) displayed in a permanent exhibition adjacent to a newly built Miami Bakehouse on the Forrest Highway. What an awesome public […]
Thanks to the organisers for another great auction this year. The place was completely packed out and the bidding was competitive. My piece huge abstract painting Rejuvenation went under the hammer and sold – thanks to the buyer! Look forward to doing it all again next year, it’s a great fundraiser.
We’re celebrating the birth of UnchARTed with a fun soirée 5.30 – 9.30pm. Fun times will be had with live painting, art auction (some of my work available), DJ, food truck, prize pack, beverages (with beer kindly sponsored by @gageroads) and more… don’t miss out! RSVP via the Facebook link in the image below:

I totally forgot to mention that I was successful in my first public art submission with three pieces selected for purchase by Ronald McDonald House, February 2015. Pictured is a detail of one of the paintings ‘Childhood Dream’. One of the pieces ‘Smile’ is featured in the display room and was seen on the news […]
My blog has been a little quiet of late, but that doesn’t mean I’ve been quiet! I’ve set up UnchARTed Collective, and Australian artisan gallery featuring over 40 different artists. It’s great to share, interact and colaborate with so many creative people. You can now view may art 6 days a week – woot! If […]
Public Salon has just ended and I was very proud to have been selected to take part and display work along with so many other talented artists. The icing on the cake for me was six sales plus a commission! Now I can go buy more art supplies (and food). (One of my pieces bottom […]
Sooooooo, I had a minor break from the daily grind and found time to further develop mixing aerosols with acrylics to paint abstractly. This piece references the cocky attitude I was experiencing heightened by raucous music, hence the title.
‘Attitude’. Acrylic and aerosol on paper. 100 x 70cm.
One of the great things about being in a market is meeting so many wonderful people and making new friends. Thanks to all for a fun filled Sunday!
